FAQ

Parlux Digitalyon in box retail

Which Parlux hairdryer should I choose

This is all dependent on which features are important to you and your budget. The Parlux 3200 Plus is a good middle point, and then if more features such as more power, more lightweight etc. are desired then move to the latest models accordingly.

Some customers will want the latest and the greatest and therefore the Parlux Alyon is the best choice for them. Some customers want the characteristics and benefits of a professional Parlux hairdryer but do not have the budget and therefore a Superturbo 2800 or earlier model would be recommended. The hairdryers in between all of these models are perfect for if someone has a particular budget, wants a particular size hairdryer or would like particular technology/feature.

Which parlux hd is best for my hair type

All Parlux hairdryers are suitable for all hair types, as they all offer different speed settings. However for thicker hair a more powerful hairdryer with ceramic ionic technology would be beneficial as it will dry hair faster and reduce frizz. For thin hair, the most powerful hairdryer may not be required, however the other features may be desired and so it is important to note that the additional power will not affect the hair negatively.

What is the Parlux Alyon’s Air Ionizer Technology and how does it differ from Ceramic Ionic Technology

Air Ionizer Technology is an exclusive system that has been measured to optimise the emission of negative ion to eliminate static electricity, making the hair softer and shinier. This is a new and improved technology created by Parlux to give healthier and smoother results which has been confirmed by hairdressers worldwide.

How do I clean my Parlux hairdryer

To keep your hairdryer working effectively, it’s important to clean your hairdryer each day - it only takes a couple of minutes. When turned off and unplugged, remove the back locking ring of the hairdryer and take out the silver filter, wipe this with a clean dry cloth to remove any dust, hair or debris. Wipe the back area of the hairdryer with a clean dry cloth. You can then put the filter back into the locking ring and twist the locking ring and filter back onto the hairdryer.

If you have a Parlux Alyon, this model features the Hair-Free System, and therefore the above should be done, but the Hair-Free System (the circular red component in the back of the hairdryer underneath the filter and locking ring) can be removed, and any hair that has entwined around the coil can be removed and discarded. Then put the Hair-Free System back in place and twist the locking ring and filter onto the back of the hairdryer.

How long is the warranty

The warranty is 12 months from the date of purchase with all Parlux hairdryers. Your warranty can be registered by post or online (https://www.hairtools.co.uk/content/9-parlux-warranty) which makes the warranty process quicker and easier as Hair Tools Ltd (the UK & Ireland distributor for Parlux) will store your receipt in case you lose it.

To register your warranty you will need your proof of purchase (receipt), the 8 digit serial number found on the bottom of the hairdryer handle and the 4 digit batch number found on the top of the hairdryer handle.

Take note of the warranty instructions as failure to follow these may result in warranty being void.

Which diffuser will fit my Parux

Check the bottom of each product page for compatible accessories.

The Hair Tools Universal Diffuser and Hair Tools Universal Volumax AirFlow Diffuser also fit all Parlux hairdryers except the Parlux 3500.

Please note that diffusers can reach a high heat and therefore always use on a low heat setting and make sure the attachment has cooled before removing.

Are Parlux Hd Dual Voltage

Unfortunately Parlux hairdryers are not dual voltage, however an adaptor can be used when taking the hairdryer abroad.

Why should I use a nozzle when drying hair

A nozzle doesn’t always have to be used when drying hair. They are mainly used when you are wanting to direct the air more precisely, for example when carrying out a curly blowdry you would want to direct the air onto the round brush.

Please note that nozzles can reach a high heat and therefore always use on a low heat setting and make sure the attachment has cooled before removing.
